Confidence In The Name

Very few things compare to trust and confidence.

While taking my grandchildren to the park one day I noticed something that reminded me of my childhood and the strength of my father and the trust and confidence that I placed in him.

This little boy (about 2) had climbed up high on the playground equipment with his bigger sister. The father was standing close and watching. He motioned for the big sister (maybe 8) to jump from way up high into his arms. She wouldn't do it because she was afraid that he might not catch her. However, when instructed by the father the little boy, without hesitation, jumped into his Dad's arms. Then he went back up and did it over and over again. He had complete confidence in his father.

Do we have that kind of confidence and trust in our heavenly Father? What about His Son? Do we have confidence in Him? Do we have confidence in His Name and the power/authority that it carries? We need confidence like that little boy in all circumstances.

Let me share a dream with you that our 25 year old son had this week.

He said that in the dream he was in a dark room all alone. He was strapped to a chair, or at least he couldn't get out of the chair for some reason. He was being interrogated by someone that he could not see. He could only hear the voice. The interrogator started by asking simple questions of him like, “what is your name?'” and “how old are you?”. Then he said the interrogator asked, “who do you serve?” My son replied – “Yeshua”. He then said the interrogator made a horrible hissing sound and stepped slightly closer so that he could see his horrendous face. He then said, “Don't speak that name” and “I am going to kill you”,

At this point our son replied, “the only way that you can harm me is if you have power over Yeshua”. The demon immediately left and he awoke.

That is a most powerful statement that I shall remember. Do you have confidence in the Name?

The Name above all names!

Shalom,
Leisa
